How much time do I need for the retreat experience?

We recommend 3-4 hours minimum, but the more time you take for yourself, the deeper your relaxation will be. The more able you’ll be to get clear on what you want more and less of. The more your mind will open up to what’s possible. The more reconnected you’ll feel to your body and mind. And the more genuinely refreshed you’ll be.

We know you’re busy, and finding time is hard. But when you get real clarity on your life (what you want, what you don’t) you stop wasting time second-guessing every choice. You make decisions faster.

You stop going in circles. And that saves you hours, days, maybe even weeks.

Are these not just some self-care products in a box?

Anyone can throw together candles and bath salts. But this gift box is designed for you (or a gift to a loved one) to reset your mind and reconnect with yourself. You'll reflect on what's working and what's not. You'll get clarity on what you want more and less of in your life. And that clarity? That's what creates real change, not just a few hours of relaxation.

I've tried self-care activities before and nothing sticks. How would this be any different?

Because this isn't about adding another wellness habit to your routine. It's not telling you to meditate daily or start journaling at 5am.

This gives you space to figure out what actually fits your life. Most wellness advice treats symptoms. This helps you identify the root — what's draining you, what lights you up, what needs to change. That's why it sticks.

Can't I just do with myself with candles and a journal?

You could. But most people don't. Or they light the candle, stare at a blank journal page, and give up after 10 minutes.

This removes all the guesswork and decision fatigue. You don't need to plan it, research it, or wonder if you're doing it "right." You just follow along. And because it's structured, you actually finish it instead of abandoning it halfway through.

What will I get from this retreat experience?

You get calmer, clearer and have less mental clutter.

You'll feel reconnected to yourself instead of just going through the motions. You'll know what you actually want instead of just surviving another week on autopilot. And that mental space? But it is important to continue the practice - it only works when you bridge the vision to action, in a way that works for you.

Will I feel different after or is this just temporary?

Both. You'll feel immediately better - lighter, calmer, more grounded.

But you'll also leave with clarity on what you want your life to look like. And clarity is what drives change. The retreat is the reset button. What you do with that clarity afterward is where the real transformation happens. We provide you with the tools to help with the transformation, but it’s the small habits and daily practices that make it stick. Plus not putting yourself down & giving up if you forget or miss a day.

Why should I not just journal and figure this out myself?

Journaling is great. But sitting alone with a blank page trying to solve your life? That can feel heavy. Exhausting. Like therapy homework.

This mixes reflection with fun activities and actual relaxation throughout. You're not just processing problems — you're feeling inspired, energised, open to what's possible. When you're relaxed and having a good time, clarity comes easier. You see opportunities instead of just obstacles.

Where do you ship?

We currently ship throughout New Zealand.

When will my order ship?

Orders are processed within 2-3 business days . We post on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. You'll receive tracking information via email once your order ships.

Can I change or cancel my order?

Contact us immediately at hello@simplyretreat.org if you need to make changes. Once it's shipped, we can't modify your order.

What's your return policy?

Due to the personal nature of our gift boxes, we don't accept returns on opened boxes. If there's an issue with your order, contact us at hello@simplyretreat.org within 7 days and we'll work with you to find a solution.

What if something arrives damaged?
